Notes from 13 Sep meeting

The Fourth Session of the Texas Constitutional Convention of 1997 was called to order at 11:08 A.M. on September 13, 1997, at Brownwood, Texas, with both the elected Chair and the Secretary of the convention present.

The Secretary called the roll of seated delegates, and the following delegates or proxies who presented written and signed delegation of authority answered the roll call: Don Henson, Robert Kesterson, Archie Lowe, Cloyce Williams, Greg Scales, Wesley Burnett, Sara Lowe, Jay Baggett for Robert Sudbury, Timothy Burnett for David Sanders, Isaiah Williams for Alonso Martinez, Karen Williams for James Gamble, and Steve Baggett for Monty Barnett.

As the Secretary was unable to certify that a quorum was present, the Chair requested that a list of those delegates who were not present at the session be recorded by the Secretary as having missed that session, in accordance with the resolution passed by the convention at the prior session, which action was approved by all present.

The Chair then offered to entertain a motion to adjourn until the next session, to begin October 11, 1997, at 9:00 A.M., at the Gold Key Inn in Brownwood, Texas, so moved by Archie Lowe, seconded by Wesley Burnett. The motion carried unanimously. The Fourth Session of the Texas Constitutional Convention 1997 adjourned at 11:15 a.m.
