It is my personal belief that there are a lot of people out there who understand but who also believe, due primarily to early conditioning in the public school system, that nothing can be done about it. I have initiated general discussions about "the problem" and about possible Texas independence with a new constitution to several of my friends and acquaintances. Much to my surprise, I hardly ever get an adverse reaction to the idea. What I get, instead, is general acceptance of the basic concept but with statements about how "they" will never let that happen. So our educational approach is two-fold. First, we educate county by county as ratification proceeds. As ratification proceeds, we expect that more and more people will begin to see that it is possible to solve the problem and will begin to get more interested in TC2K.
